1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the services of DH Auto Southwest Ltd, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Services Offered
DH Auto Southwest Ltd provides mobile windscreen repair and replacement. Air conditioning servicing, regassing and repair. The specific services offered may vary and are detailed on our website.
3. Booking and Scheduling
Bookings are essential and can be made through our website or by contacting us directly. We strive to accommodate requests for next-day service, but this is not guaranteed.
4. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of service. We accept payment by debit card, credit card, BACS and cash. Late payment may result in interest charged.
5. Windscreen & Glass Replacement and Warranty
All windscreens and glass supplied and fitted by DH Auto Southwest Ltd are covered by a 12-month workmanship warranty from the date of installation.
Our warranty covers:
- Defects in the glass supplied by us.
- Faults caused directly by our installation or workmanship.
Our warranty does not cover:
- Stone chips or road impact damage.
- Cracks caused by external impacts, vehicle body movement, thermal stress or environmental conditions.
- Accidental damage, misuse or neglect.
- General wear and tear.
- Damage caused by work carried out by a third party.
All glass is carefully inspected before installation. Manufacturing defects or installation-related stress cracks would normally become apparent during installation or within the first few weeks after fitting. A crack developing months later does not necessarily indicate a fault with the glass or installation.
If you experience a problem during the warranty period, we’ll arrange to inspect the vehicle. If the fault is found to be due to our workmanship or a defective part supplied by us, we’ll repair or replace it under warranty. If the fault is found to be unrelated to our work, an inspection fee may apply in line with our standard call out rates.
6. Air Conditioning Service & Regas
Prior to carrying out a regas, the system will be pressure tested to check for leaks that are detectable at the time of inspection.
Where the system successfully passes pressure testing, it will be serviced and regassed. Pressure testing confirms the condition of the system at the time of service only and cannot predict future failures or identify faults that were not present or detectable during testing.
A service and regas does not constitute a warranty of the entire air conditioning system. Additional leaks or faults may develop after the system has been returned to service.
7. Air Conditioning Diagnostics, Leak Detection & Repairs
Automotive air conditioning systems are complex systems comprising multiple components, seals, pipework, valves, sensors and mechanical parts. Particularly on older vehicles, it is common for systems to contain multiple leaks, intermittent faults, or components that are approaching the end of their service life.
Our diagnostic procedures are designed to identify faults that are detectable at the time of inspection and testing. Depending on the nature and complexity of the fault, additional diagnostic testing may occasionally be required before the most appropriate repair can be confirmed.
Once a fault has been diagnosed, we will advise on the most appropriate repair and, where suitable, provide a quotation. Some repairs may not be suitable to be carried out as a mobile service and may require a workshop environment due to the nature of the repair.
Following any repair, we will carry out appropriate testing to confirm that the repaired component or area is performing correctly at the time of service. However, no pressure test, vacuum test, nitrogen test, leak detection method, or diagnostic procedure can guarantee the future integrity of the entire air conditioning system over an extended period of time. Repairing an identified leak or replacing a faulty component does not guarantee that additional leaks, faults, or failures do not exist elsewhere within the air conditioning system.
As air conditioning systems operate under pressure and are subject to age-related deterioration, vibration, corrosion, wear and environmental factors, additional leaks or faults may develop after repairs have been completed, particularly on older vehicles.
Unless expressly stated in writing, any warranty provided by DH Auto Southwest Ltd applies only to the specific repair or replacement part supplied by us and does not extend to the entire air conditioning system or to unrelated components. No warranty is provided against future leaks, failures or faults occurring elsewhere within the system.
Should an air conditioning fault reoccur after a repair has been completed, further diagnostic testing may be required to determine the cause. Such testing may identify a continuation of the original fault, a separate fault, or an additional leak that was not present or detectable at the time of the original inspection. Additional diagnostic work, parts and labour may also be chargeable.
By authorising diagnostic, leak detection, repair or regas work, the customer acknowledges and accepts that air conditioning repairs are based upon faults identifiable at the time of inspection and that no guarantee can be given that the entire air conditioning system will remain fault-free following repair unless specifically agreed in writing.
8. Reinspection & Return Visits
Should an air conditioning fault reoccur following previous work, the vehicle will require fresh inspection and testing to establish the cause of the current issue.
As air conditioning systems are complex and faults may develop over time, it is not possible to determine the cause of a subsequent fault without carrying out further diagnostics.
Unless a fault is clearly attributable to workmanship or a part supplied and fitted by DH Auto Southwest Ltd, further return visits, diagnostic testing, call-out charges, and additional repairs may be chargeable at our standard rates rates of £80 + VAT. Any goodwill reductions in diagnostic or call-out charges are entirely at the discretion of DH Auto Southwest Ltd and do not constitute an admission of liability or acceptance that any subsequent fault relates to previous work carried out.
The purpose of the reinspection is to establish the cause of the reported issue before liability can be determined.
9. Air Conditioning Warranty
A 12-month parts and labour warranty applies only to qualifying parts supplied and fitted by DH Auto Southwest Ltd, unless otherwise stated in writing.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects in the supplied component and the workmanship relating to its installation. It does not cover accidental damage, impact damage, corrosion, wear and tear, environmental deterioration or failure of any other component within the air conditioning system.
Minor repairs, including seals, O-rings and similar consumable components, are not covered by the 12-month parts and labour warranty unless expressly confirmed in writing.
The refrigerant (regas) itself is not covered under warranty. Where a system passes pressure testing and is successfully regassed, this confirms the condition of the system at the time of service only and does not guarantee the future performance of the entire air conditioning system.
10. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with UK laws.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms and conditions from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website.

14. Entire Agreement
These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and DH Auto Southwest Ltd regarding the use of our services and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.
